I was wondering what skimmer should I get? Suggestion are looking forward too. Also is the IM media reactors for biopellets only or carbon is fine? I heard you can fit all 3 biopellets, carbon and GFO.

For lights I will be using mini halides

nice mang! i want a reef in my room for a nice night light too. you can use those IM reactors for any of the three media you stated. carbon, gfo, or bio pellets...they just set up differently for whichever you choose.

Unfortunately any of those small skimmers are pretty touchy as slight fluctuations in water level, salinity, etc can make a great impact on such a small tank. As long as you're not getting blasted with microbubbles 24/7 you should be fine. I had an IM16 before and wish i didn't get rid of it.

I have been hearing good thing about the reactor. Going do a bio-pellet. I think I saw a member trading the reactor for a pump might trade. The protein skimmer sucked even in the demo it look like there was micro bubbles but wouldn't mind trying it. Thinking of doing the ghost protein skimmer I can't seem to get to find anything that would fit a Nuvo 16g
