RIP to The Godfather of Reefing. If you’ve been in this hobby for an considerable amount of time you probably owe Jake in one way or another. His enthusiasm and passion bled through the page in his writing and you couldn’t miss it on camera. Very sad for his family, what an incredible loss ?

Out of respect to Jake, his family and friends, I would just keep this stuff to yourself. I'm not trying to be a jerk here, but there's no reason anyone needs to share any details, whether they are true or not right now.

I'm guessing that info was put out there because so many were in disbelief of his passing which might be tough on everyone as well to see. Regardless of how the man passed its a very sad day for the reef community.
