They do climb up the back wall every once in a while, but they have poor attachment, if any at all.

With the cucumber...the rest of the tank was fine, one of the perks of have large water volume.

Been neglecting the tank a bit because of the garage projects. So the tank is on a bit of cruise control. When I have some free time, I do need to clean the skimmer and dump the skimmate locker. Right now, I just need some ibuprofen and a nap.

Haven’t cleaned my glass for awhile…the coralline really took off…can barely see what’s going on in there. Feeding fish, refill empty containers, and that’s about it. Aiptasia population definitely taking over…

You're going to have an alk spike when you clean your glass. From what I can see of the coral, it looks healthy and thriving.

This one was doing well, and then it just STN and RTN overnight.

This one had the base STN as well.

I did manage to send in an ICP a couple weeks ago, and a couple elements were low. I did see tin and aluminum creeping up. Did 2 water changes to dilute whatever the problem was.

The good thing with DIY elements mixing, I can increase these elements into the mix. My very own ghetto Triton ICP sub LOL. Way less accurate, but it cost me nothing extra…just what I already paid for in powdered elements and my time in the garage weighing/mixing.

I doubled my Mn, I, Fe, Co, Cr and Cu amount. And I quadrupled Zn, F amount. Refilled and good for another year.

Strange just some acros died while others are perfectly fine next to it. Go figure. I lost some prized zoas as well, just melted.

Whatever funky was going on, it seemed to have stopped.

Aluminum is fine and isn’t toxic, reducing with w/c should help and tin might cause issues of other metals are high or present? A little poly filter usually helps. What are your N and P levels?

Lithium is kind of high. But I think my N (7) and P (0.18) are just fine, I don't know why ATI ICP thinks P at 0.18ppm is critically high.

Because all ICP are based on NSW and it's well above that range. On most reefs, N is usually less than 1ppm (around 0.75ppm) and P is 0.02-0.03ppm. Lithium is usually present in all ICP (especially in the US). Were there silicates in your RO results? High silicates are from depleted DI resin (or from dosing silicates).

I’ve switched to big canisters of cation and anion DI resins. Replaced the anion part, which should take care of silicates. This hobby just burns cash.

My JF Raunchy Red shrooms are growing like crazy. I need to prune some.

I’m at 4 stage DI now. LOL. 2 cation and 2 anion. I skip the mixed bed. That’s just a waste of money for me as my city water mostly needed anion.

Finally wrapping up my garage reorganization, so got some time to clean the glass. Need to trim back shrooms as they are taking out other corals.

Tested the nutrients. Nitrates is at zero and phosphates at 0.18. Oops, not sure how nitrates bottomed out, will mix up some nitrates.

Tank overall looks good. No nuisance algae, dinos, cyano…just aiptasia. I think I need to find some Berghias soon.

Remember this guy…the master button Scoly that I picked up at CFM? It was almost dead, and now making a remarkable comeback.

This is it today. The color may be a little faded, but it’s healed and growing. Hoping the color will return once it fully heals.

This is my favorite SPS in the tank right now. It was sold to me by Ali as Solomon Island Millepora awhile ago. It finally encrusted, and is starting to look really nice glowing pink/salmon color and cool yellow rim. Not sure if it really is a millepora, as I never really seen much PE.

Use ammonium bicarbonate and not sodium nitrate. Corals can directly consume ammonium and not so much sodium nitrate. 20g of ammonium bicarb to 1L RO is your stock solution. Pulse dose twice a day during the photo period. You can dose 6mL/100g of tank water safely.
