Those are utter chaos zoas. And yes, it's a grafted setosa (green / orange). I have to get a better photo next time.

I have frags of the setosa, but not the zoas as I'm still growing them out.

Went to the SCRM special event visit to a wholesaler this morning. I picked up a small male blond naso, and hoping it can join the established tang gang. Fingers crossed. I’m slow drip acclimating now from 1.019 to 1.026 over a couple hours. And will do a peroxide dip (5ml peroxide to 1L of saltwater). Then into an acclimation box for a few days or release at night.

Into the acclimation box. So far, no one has shown any aggression towards it. If it continues like this, I’m going to let it out after lights out and put a couple mirrors on side of tanks. Will be feeding heavy with frozen and nori. So I learned today that male naso have streamers and females do not. This blond naso is a male and my existing big regular naso is a female. I really hope they get along and they don't kill him.

And big shout out to Larry (artist formerly known as Bakbay LOL) for hooking me up with a strat zoa at the SCRM meet. My previous thriving colony died. My zoas go through phases of awesome and melting.

I let him out of the cage and expected WWF Royal Rumble...but everyone just ignored him like nothing new is happening. I'm a bit shocked how smoothly it started. He darted into the rocks at first to make sure everyone was cool, then he just swam out like he's been part of the gang.

Maybe when I get home, it'll be a different story.

I do not see any signs of bullying of the blond naso when I'm watching the tank. But I do see white scratch marks on his body, which I'm hoping is just him stressed in new tank and running into rocks or being unfamiliar with the scape. No signs of any flashing. He is calm, breathe easy, and eats well. Ruled out ich, brook or velvet. I’m keeping a close eye on this. Will feed heavy with selcon soaked nori and frozen mysis. Hence my nutrients are going up.

That is a beautiful fish. Nasos in the wild are some of my favorites (along with Achilles).

LOL. I want to make a bounce wall, but it is not working out. The flow is too much, and It falls off after awhile.

I have some of those magnetic rock mounts for you whenever you want them. 3 of them are available (free, I'm not trying to sell). The rubber O ring that lines the encases magnet came off during sterilization, so may have to try to re-adhere them or, what I'm thinking might work better, make a ring of silicone around the outside of the magnet, let it cure and essentially do exactly the same thing as the rubber O ring.

Cool. Let's do the exchange when your tank is ready for zoas.

I have no idea how to use the Tunze 6040 powerhead hub edition. I can't connect to it at all. The instructions suck, and their how-to video is in German (dubbed horribly in English). They should ask Roger to do the English instruction videos. I'm currently running it in manual mode. It's a great little pump.

Thanks @Raptor72 for the 2 Tunze powerheads. I know I could have gotten cheaper ones, but I trust Tunze more than any brand.

I started a small external refugium to grow some aiptasia, as I have 2 berghias. I want to multiply them before introducing it to the display tank for eradication of the main aiptasia infestation.

Felix did one in English and it's the one I used. Let me find the link.
