2-headed monster with pinching heads. they grow up so fast!
Yeah, I haven’t seen Steve on the forum for awhile. If you hear back from him, let me know. I need another single frag rack. I’m using 2 of the ones he made for me previously.
I need to check later if the cut torch is doing okay. I got a good look at the heads and stem. It is pinching into 4 heads and the flesh is grown all the way to the base. So it is healthy and growing very fast. I attribute that to it being a natural spawn. This is my favorite torch in the tank.

Mama OG bounce (bubbles size of golf balls):
All green Rainbow Splice: (won this nub from Defugium at OC coral show last year). Has done nothing in my tank encrust a little bit. Still all green. Come on, where’s the pink?
Palette Pink Tip: It’s an OG piece.
DCR Lighthouse Lokani: I like how bright it is, and finally growing. This grew from a small nub from Oct 2024.

I spent my Sunday taking apart the original Trident because it is no longer drawing tank water. What a PITA. I can understand why regular reefers get burnt out on maintenance and want to downgrade the electronics on their tanks. And if you are not handy or have right tools, it's a couple hundred dollars to send the Trident back to Neptune for service.
So while I have Trident offline and in pieces, I might as well put my new 3D printer in the garage to work. I downloaded the 3D files for a mini/micro Trident housing (from jef'belli and Reefdudes on Thingiverse site). At least it'll make the maintenance a bit easier. Although, I've had 3 failed prints already. I need to dial in this PETG filament speed as I'm new to the 3D printing world. More to learn.

Maintaining the Trident is tedious, you probably have a clogged tube line or your pinch valve is broken and needs to be replaced. The service kit from Trident is easy to work with, however they don't offer pinch valve replacements or the internal system tubing. Once my Trident kicks the bucket, I'll be moving towards the AquaWiz. Hoping the AquaWiz drops in price significantly by then.
I don't envy you being in 3D printing hell, getting the setting dialed can be quite time consuming. A big reason why I went the Bambu route, was so I could focus on printing instead of debugging the printer. Although, given how Bambu has been treating the 3D printing community, I understand why people would choose to go with other printers instead. Heck, if I were to buy another printer I likely would not get a Bambu.

Bambu is what most people will be buying since it is the most mass consumer friendly and easiest to use. But I never take the easy way out....I want to make it as difficult as possible on myself...so all the pain and suffering will make me a better man in the long run. LOL, just kidding. I'm not exactly sure what I was thinking...the Bambu P2S with AMS would have made a lot of sense and cheaper too. With that said, I'm loving 3D printing...it's a fun and useful toy. Finally, I had my first successful PETG print tonight.

Woohoo, glad you were able to get your first print!
Been busy printing reef stuff. I’m on my 2nd roll of PETG. I fixed my Trident clog with a syringe flush and cleaned out the cuvette. Then I reinstalled it into a printed Micro Trident housing with new printed reagent bottle needle guides. Good as new. (~$8 worth of filament.)

Although, I just got my freebie ATI ICP results back. It is not good.
My zinc is super high like 25ppb...might need to check all the magnets and pumps again. I'm running some cuprisorb and will have to make some new saltwater.
If nickel and iron is high, along with copper, then I would search for something rusting, but it doesn’t hurt to look anyway. Peace of mind helps.
