Careful using lubrication on bulkhead seals. They are not designed to be used that way. Best case it won't do any harm. Worst case it can temporarily patch a defective seal causing a potential leak in the future. Be careful when tightening because the lubricant will reduce the torque giving you the perception to keep tightening which can cause the seal to slip and shift out of position. If you have the time I would pull the sump and sump extension out and water test in an open area so you can see where the leak is coming from and address accordingly. Good luck!
Didn’t really think about it being an issue. Redsea actually recommended it but what you are saying makes sense. Fingers crossed I don’t ever run into any issues. No leaks in two years but something I’ll definitely need to keep an eye on.

Been monitoring my ammonia for the past 10 days and finally the Seachem is showing safe!!

Added the tank’s first inhabitants. Now the excitement is over. Gotta wait another week for new fish members.

The past two weeks was filled with numerous mundane tasks.

Completed:
Shed for water station
Wire management
Garage cleanup
Temporary tank clean up

As I’m typing this, I had a realization that I should slow down and take more pictures to document the progress so I’m actually enjoying the journey.

The “ugly” stage finally hit on Friday.

Bought 10 Trochus, 10 Narssarius, 10 hermit for now.

Also got a maxima clam at the LFS when I was just looking for Trochus haha

Put that maxima high on the rock work so it gets high light and they look best under natural lighting, not the heavy blue stuff. Looking good!

Noted thanks! I try not to disrupt the light schedule when I’m taking pictures so it probably won’t be the best haha.

My Tank Build

That's the only great way to enjoy a tank. I don't have room for a couch, but I placed a cushioned bench in front of my tank. I even sit in it to clean the glass.
