okay the store isn't called joe's... that's just what we call it... lol... it's called bell bird farm...


and he's not an amazing reef store like all of these other guys... he's a small local petshop, but he gives the deals... the store may look like a bunch of fail but it's always busy and cheap...


he sells GBTA for 16 bucks a piece... his corals aren't that great, but they are cheap and if he don't have it he could get it for you at a great price... his SW fish is teh bussiness... he sold us a sohal tang this weekend for 50 bucks... well... my friend actually paid 35 for it because he was giving him some rocks with colony paly's that he didn't want anymore... he also always gets achile's tangs for 80 bucks or so... he has great customer service but doesn't know that much on reef keeping... he's a pro at the birds though...

anyways... he's my friend and my favorite LFS... i just want to get him some space here and props for being so much more kick *** in prices than the other places... and i live near a tongs and other LFS...

check him out sometime...

anyways... he know's spanish very well... but like any other asian LFS owner you need to get used to thier accent...

not right now... look... he hasn't had those in a long time... there used to be a local breeder near him and joe would sell them for 10 bucks a pop... tank raised... but the dude moved... i asked joe a wile back for some when i was looking for clowns and he did end up getting some but i ended up pairing up my maroon female with another maroon douche canoe...

he gets more fish this friday and i told him i wanted a orange shoulder tang and a clown tang... i need tangs in my tank... like i said he could get any fish you want for a good price... he got me my rose nem when no other local shop could get them... and it was only 40 bucks...

I frequent "Joe's" also. I live about two blocks away and I am glad I do. Its just like gumbii says, he doesn't have the most impressive shop out there but he has the best prices I have seen in any LFS. And he can get you just about anything you need. He is also pretty knowledgeable.

Cool... I'll hit you up the next time I am there and I see you. Hopefully I get the right person... lol. I was actually just there yesterday, he's going to get me an Iodine test kit and some bristle stars this friday. Like I said I am in there a few times a week. I have gone to other places and have seen some outrageous prices, or maybe he just spoils us?


One more thing.. my gf and I wonder how the hell he speaks Spanish so well. He is definitely Asian because i have seen a book there with some sort of Asian writing on it (sorry if that sounded stupid.. lol), but when I overhear him speak Spanish it is perfect. Maybe its from living in Bell for so long.. my gf has lived here for over 20 years and she said he's been there for as long as she can remember.

it's because he had a karate studio in mexico before he opened the shop in bell... he'll kill you API test kit...

i've seen him standing on the edge of a bucket before... it was like cirque de solei... he's a finely tuned killing machine...








nah i'm just kidding... i think they are from thailand... well that's what his chic tells me... but the spanish, i dunno... spanish is easy to learn...



and i hate his brother that is there on saturdays... he's overpriced and doesn't know squat...
