Hey everyone! I figured I would start a small journal for a new nano build that I’m doing. This is going to be an LPS/clam & mangrove lagoon. The IM 25 ext will be full of LPS (mostly goniapora and euphyllia (mostly frogspawn/octospawn) and a few misc corals. While the 10g will have crocea clams, a mangrove and some sea grass in a DSB. This will be lit by Kessil’s (360x’s & 500x) only. I’ll just have a rock or two in the 10g for the clams to attach to and no fish. The 25g will have minimal rock and a small fish load, 1st gen onyx percs, neon or sharknose goby, fridmani pseudochromis and maybe a geometric hawkfish?
I built the stand myself and wrapped it with walnut plywood. The sump is a leftover acrylic tank that I converted with a sump kit. I’ll use a Hydros system to monitor and use my Tunze 6040’s in the 25g for flow. Both tanks will share a return from a Coral Box DC pump.

So clean! Great work man. I love the grain and stain on the cabinet.
Thanks, Matt! Just Odie’s oil to bring out the natural colors of the wood. That stuff is magic on wood, especially walnut.

Can’t wait to see this tank in action!
I currently have a 25 lagoon with mangroves, clams, anenome (ritteri, carpet, bta) and weirdly a blue ring octopus

I thought about just having a gig for my clowns and calling it a day, but I’ll save that for another time.

Well, I was going to make the equipment panel and shelf for the dosers today, but it’s gonna be a little toasty outside here, so I’ll have to wait until Tuesday. I really want to test out the Sentia dosers soon, so I may set up a little test station and run some RO? If I like them, then I’ll buy another set and use them on my main display and use my GHL for something else.
I did manage to take my two Goni’s in and frag them up, must’ve taken over 60 frags total between the two. If you want some blue or red Goni frags, hit up Elliot at Golden State Corals. Here’s a pic before I took them in.

Elliot gave me a frag of the blue Goni over a year ago and he ran out, so I returned the favor and then some more. He runs a great shop and I really like to support my LFS as much as I can.
These two corals will be a part of the nano, as I want to have a nice small collection of Goni’s and euphyllias.

Thanks! Is your sump repaired now? It’s always tricky repairing things on a fully operational system, especially the heart.

I just set up and calibrated the Sentia dose (one primary and one secondary) and it was super easy and I really like the layout of the app and it’s features. Here are a few screenshots of a sample schedule and the app.

Those gonis were massive! Looking good man
Thanks! Yeah, they were getting huge. Are you going to RAP? I can bring you a frag of confetti? Text me and let me know.

I finally had some time to finish the equipment panel and dosing shelf today. I need to make some adjustments to the light rack before I add water, so hopefully by the weekend this thing will be wet? I really like these Sentia dosers, that I’m going to replace my GHL with a set of them for my 90g. I’ll most likely hang on to the GHL as a backup, but I’m so tired of the lagging software/app and the fact that I need a PC to directly connect to the doser in order to update the firmware. I love GHL hardware, but the software has to be the most archaic software in the hobby. Time to have Adam from Ocean Devotion get me some fully QT’d fish for this thing.
