Btw, I finally had a chance to check out @Tangwich gigs yesterday and they were f’ing awesome! Super nice guy and I really enjoyed checking out his tanks, but I had to kick myself out or I would’ve stayed for hours chatting.

Nice - glad your guys had a great time.

I disagree re: him being nice guy. He’s super selfish! I’ve known him for a few days now yet he’s still refusing to rehome those gigs to me! What a self-centered individual…. ;)
Your check is NOT in the mail.

....that's because I will hand deliver it along with the gigs. lol

So, after adjusting the Noopsyche mini over the desktop jar I decided to check the spectrum and par. Running it at 25/30/30 (white/blue/violet) I was getting over 360 micromoles on average, this little light is a beast! Now I have all 3 channels at 20% and getting in the low 200’s near the bottom. The great thing is the rock flower anemones and ricordea are taking it very well. The acrylic lid probably cuts it down s a little more, which helps. But I can easily see a couple of these over acropora and doing a great job. At the current settings, the spectrum is heavy blue with the peak around 440nm, but I imagine that running the whites a little higher would create a fuller spectrum. At $139 shipped, it’s really hard to beat this light.

Crappy pic, but here are some new additions to the nano system thanks to @happyreefer. I need to give them a proper home soon, but need to do some long overdue maintenance. The color that both of these have are insane, super nice! Stay tuned…..
I did pick out a few future frags for the 90g at today’s show, so I may donate/give away a couple green slimers to make room?

Very nice! Looks like the small one I have. SC dynamite rainbow.
I believe it is the SC dynamite, thanks to @happyreefer I’m terrible with all of the names, which is why I stick to genus/species names. But I can’t wait until I can get a good pic of the goni, that thing is just as insane as the chalice.

Here's how you can tell if it's an OG Dynamite. The Dynamite is the only coral on the world that has 7 different colors that you can actually see. Take a look here

If you ever hear me talk about nutrients, this video is part of my reference material and a must watch. Around 27 minutes is where Charles talks about the details or why this ratio/balance is important. It’s also why I keep telling people that if you have enough measurable nitrate, you usually have enough and the important thing to watch is phosphate and keeping it from bottoming out.

It depends on the corals right? On my 150gal, I run higher nutrients and higher alk. 29:0.29 N:p, ratio of 100:1. My LPS is super happy but SPS corals don’t like it and brown’ed out. So it’s not just ratios (relative) but also low numbers (absolute) in nutrients to make coals happy, right?

What is your target ranges? For me, PO4 of sub 0.10ppm works better, like on my frag tank at ~0.07ppm.
