A few pics of the hitchhikers. The urchin is getting a little bigger and there’s a new resident too. I haven’t ID’d the little limpet, but mostly grazing on algae.
Smoothie I got from @Smite adding a little growth and color.
New dragon acro for the front for some contrast.
Princess peach getting some color back and some growth.
Wild acan/favia adding more polyps and color.

I’m still not spoiling the news, but just talking with a friend who was about to leave the hobby, only to jump back in really makes me happy. It’s also good for this community. Never give up, there’s always a way.

Inferno, but it tends to be more yellow/gold than the bright orange. But I kinda prefer it this way.
Well, sad day here in my display. I had to euthanize my last Ignitus anthias. He stopped eating a little while ago and noticed that he wouldn’t move from his perched position. He started to look a little ragged, so I knew it was time to spare him starving to death. It was awesome to see him transition from dominant female to male. The colors were really vibrant and superior to the previous male’s colors. Cheers little dude, thanks for brightening up my display.

Truth!
So, there’s been a lot going on behind the scenes and not all good. I noticed that both my tangs were showing signs of stress, semi cloudy eyes and some spots showing up throughout their bodies. Then my female clown started to look a little off and had a “dusty” appearance. I knew my Lamaracks was causing a little stress, she’s just a little too big for my tank, but I thought after rehoming her things would return to normal, but that wasn’t the case. The more that I observed the fish, the more it turned to a darker outcome. Then things turned even more and from what I could tell, all signs pointed to velvet. I know, someone who QT’s all fish, inverts, etc how could this be, but the symptoms didn’t lie. So I decided to pull all my fish and QT them and go fallow for 76 days to completely clear the tank. I think I know what happened and why, which will come at a later time, but for now, all fish are in QT and my 90g is fallow. This is a first for me, but I hope I can share ands help others through this process. More to come…….
Thanks! My biggest molly miller didn't make it, I think the stress of catching all of them, h2o2 bath, etc did a number on him, plus, he was the fattest fish in the tank, so probably had a heart attack?
