Kalk waste slurry disposal?

Hello,

I have a kalk reactor and was wondering if I can pour the kalk slurry and waste down the sink or toilet? I read online that is not considered toxic and can be poured down the drain while flushing with a lot of water. Can someone confirm?

If not, how have you disposed of it in the past.

Limewater or slurry is not toxic.

I would use a lot of hot water to flush it down the drain. You don’t want any build up over time in the pipe.

definitely run with hot water and run it longer than you would think, if you want to avoid buildup in your house/condo/etc think of how long it would take to get to the street or a larger pipe and go from there. I also try to dilute the slurry with some hot water prior to dumping so its a little more fluid
