What would you guys recommend for par/ spectrum for my 25 gallon lagoon.
im running a xr30 g5 blue with ecotech mount.
ive been running my light at 50%-55% ab+ for about 6 hrs and the other 6hr blues only. high 200s par at the bottom of tank and high 300 par between mid tank and 400+ and surface.
everything seems to be happy and thrive, but i wanna do this right and get the right spectrum and par for my corals and anemone.
im looking for better coloration overall.
only real big issue ive only had is my gonis never fully extend.
i currently have
-og bounce
-chicago anemone
-3 gonis.

any tips or suggestion are greatly appreciated.

what part do you guys consider low/mid/high?

thank you.

Aren't gonis better in the 80-150 range?

Edit: I don't have gonis, only an alveopora, but it opens very big at lower PAR. Still thinking about getting a par meter, but I've got mine estimated at 80-100 on the bottom where the alve is.

I think you can lower your intensity a little and see how they respond. There's more to color than just lighting alone, nutrients, trace elements, flow, alk, etc...

XR30 is almost overkill for that tank IMO, but running at reduced output should be fine. I think you're potentially on the high side of par for the pieces you've got, but if things are happy, keep on-keeping on!

I think you're pretty much in the high PAR range by most standards. You didn't mention any SPS or other really high PAR demanding coral so I'd agree with Drexel, and lower the intensity a bit for what you currently have.

I ran 3 x xr30 g5 blues over my 48x24x15" tank. It was an acropora dominant tank and I was running in the 55-60% with diffusers. I eventually swapped to metal halide and when I did got immediate increase in polyp extension. I feel that suggested I was running the xr30's too high for my tank. Granted with multiple fixtures my 55-60% was probably higher than your lone fixture. I never tested PAR though.

Gonis can handle good light, I'd be looking more at flow or available food/nutrients for the lack of polyp extension. To much flow definitely keeps them shorter in my experience.
