Got 4 half gallon bags of phytoplankton available. I’ve been culturing for a while and now that I don’t culture pods I have plenty left over.

This batch has 3 strains (nannochloropsis, Tetraselmis, and Isochrysis.) it’s made a huge difference in my tank and I’ve heard lots of good things from the people that have tried it in theirs.

This stuff is thick!

This is what it looks like under a microscope (this is the batch before this one)

Absolutely love this phyto. Shipping is always very well packaged.

I feed nightly and it's helped bring my pod population up and I also get feeding responses from favias and acropora polyp extension goes crazy.

How do you feed corals? How much per gallon of tank per day?
I just dump it in and broadcast feed. To start feed 1ml per 10 gallons of water for the first week, after that you can increase it slowly. I’ve been doing this since January and have had plenty on hand so I’m up to 800ml a day in a 180g system. I over dose since I have plenty on hand but I should probably be dosing 100ml to 200ml a day. Ultimately it depends on your tank and livestock.

What’s your culturing setup? If I could get a half gallon can I start a culture from it?

You can grow from a half gallon but it won’t be the same. Isochrysis will be the first to die off and the nannochloropsis will eventually out compete the Tetraselmis.

I culture each batch separately in 1 gallon jars. When I harvest I mix them into a 5 gallon bucket then I pour it into the jug above.
