For those who have sump with the same design but with bigger/wider filter socks and are trying to reduce water noise coming from the sock compartment. Try this. Get a few of these small buckets from Home Depot. Drill a bunch of holes on the bottom and a layer on the sides, this way the water has good drain. Then make a bucket holder by cutting the plastic ring from an old filter sock. Then place the bucket into the ring. This should fit like a glove giving a tight seal onto the sump. Finally add filter floss
