This might be somewhat of a slow thread for a bit as im slowly piecing this together but figured I would start one especially since I voted for seeing more build threads and so have a few other people.

Not going fancy on this build but the wife gave me the green light for a bigger tank. Right now I have a 100g Peninsula 60x18x24 with a 40g sump. Im going to take my pump, rocks, sand, heater, powerhead, Doser, Neptune system Black Box LED and transfer to the new build.

New system will be about 187g 60x30x24 with a 75g Sump/Refugium

I just got a 75g tank for the sump/refugium and bought one of those Triton Baffle Kits from Ebay will have pics soon. Also picked up a Cloud 9 Protein Skimmer from Coral Box.

Couple shots of my current system

Did you get your main display tank yet? I'm very interested in your build as I'm looking to go a similar route but maybe a bit smaller. Good luck!

Baffles are in place and tank has been ordered. Once the tank arrives I will start building the stand for it.

Also looks like the new tank will be a hair bigger coming in at around 60.5 x 30.5 x 25.5 based on aquarium calculator volume looks to be 203.70g

Im gonna check out your build as you have a fairly similar tank to mine.
My previous build I did a 135 peninsula and recorded every penny spent including SCMAS membership and I spent just a hair over $1500.

This latest build I probably spent another $3k but it’s one of the nicest systems I have ever seen.

Point is that you don’t have to spend a fortune if you DIY, plan things out and buy quality once and skip the impulse buys.

Stand is looking good, any updates?
Stand is painted and just bought the wood for skinning it. Hopefully have more of it done next week with tank on top and ready for plumbing. I'm hoping to have this thing set up by the end of the month. That's plan atleast. Been slammed with work.
