I did a search for Lugol's on here but couldn't find exactly what I was looking for.

I know you can buy Kent Marine's Lugol Solution but has anybody used just basic Lugol's Solution, the kind you don't find at the LFS?

For example I'm looking at this from ebay:
http://cgi.ebay.com/Lugols-solution...ultDomain_0&hash=item4aa9b7a0a3#ht_696wt_1139

I'm assuming this is okay. It mentions used for saltwater aquariums in description.

Just want to make sure

good for kents but the one on ebay i couldnt trust, you really just dont know whats really in there and its not proven. but as long as you dont over dose it may be fine (?). also have used it as a pre dip for new corals, and it has proved to stop pests coming into my tank (flatworms)

As others have said, I wouldn't trust it... you don't know what other additives are in it besides the Iodine, and why try to save a couple dollars when it could kill off your whole tank??
