Mandarin Goby Question

I have a 1.5" mandarin goby that I got about 4 months ago. He doesn't eat anything I feed in the tank, so I think he's eating all the pods in the tank because his stomach is always fat and bulgy

If I wanted to get him a mate, do you think it's possible? It might look awesome watching 2 mandarins cruising the tank together at all times lol

Too late for that now. You have to buy a mated pair or he will fight any other mandarins that you put in.

I never had much luck with them, but then if it needs tlc I eventually kill it.

actually i was monitoring the mandarin yesterday and he eats the flakes i put in... that's why he's always fat

I had a female and added a male about 2 weeks later and they paired up immediatly.

It's best if u can get them eating before hand on live foods and then obviously to frozen. I tried to get my pair on pellets and prepared foods and ended with them not doing well and had to add them back into the DT.

Just stock ur tank with pods and keep a healthy refugium and u should be good.
