I bought 7 margarita snails like 2 weeks ago and i started to notice that there are white round things that look like egg sacs with what looks like eggs inside of them. Is it possible for them to breed in captivity because i looked around and i heard they don't. So im wondering if this has happened to any else before and if they are eggs, what are the chances they will hatch and survive. Here's a pic.

eggs, yes, surviving in a tank, not likely. Ours throw eggs all over the tank and the corals and fish will just eat anything that hatches out.

this is when rockwork makes a difference.. if u have tonssssss of smallll nooks and crannies your baby snails will have more of a chance,,, i have a few tiny snails "not babies from what i have, just hitchhikers" that during the day u rarely see but at night with a flashlight you can spot em hanging close to those hiding places... a rubble pile works well too also for pod production,, detritus trap but ive never had issues as long as u have a lot of bugs and nass's ...

by the way i found a small "probably 3/4 to 1 inch fully stretched" super black stomatella a few nights ago.... dudes really cool, hope it has freinds in there or makes a few i know theres 2 other varieties in there, the irredecent one i put a picture up of a while back and a couple full on brownish faded to tan... love having those dudes in the system,, just hope they make more :)

Aw how sad. All the egg sacs are on the glass but there's like over 100 of them, i hope some survive. How long does it take for them to hatch?
