Hello all I’ve been interested in adding a marine betta to my reef for a while. I’ve been researching them and have found some conflicting information regard them, I’ve come across two species of them calloplesiops altivelis which is the traditional well known member of the species and calloplesiops Argus also known as the finespotted comet which is the rarer of the two It’s also reportedly smaller. I’m interested in adding the finespot if I could find a small quarantined one however some people on reef2reef have said that they’re actually the same species and that fine spots are just older marine bettas I was wondering if you guys could shed some light on this thanks in advance.
