Not sure if im posting in the right section. I will be upgrading to a 275g leemar Glass tank soon. Im in the process of finding someone to make a metal stand and Im getting 2 options
Square tubing which is much more expensive or angled 2 inch tubing.
Does anybody have any advise or had a stand made out of the angled that can give me some direction as far as strength and if it would be ok.
Stand would be 7feet longx30inchesx40 inches tall. With 2 sets of supports front and back.
Not sure how much tank weigh but Ill assume about 600lbs. And water would be about 2365lbs. So all together give or take about 3500 lbs of weight.

Alot of shops use predrilled angled to hold multiple tanks. I think for a heavy home tank. I'd go with the square tubing. Either works but imo only. Square tubing looks better

I just sent a message to the welder. Per the reply above. Not sure if he meant everything was angled or just too and bottom with supports being done out of square tubing.
2 x 2 angled that is 3/16th thick is what he recommended.

If it's Willy at OM then he uses angled on the bottom so you can play a piece of wood down for the sump. Keep in mind that it won't have any reinforcements towards the middle of stand
