Is it at all a thing for mushrooms to look like trash before they split?
I came back from a vacation recently and everything looked fine except for a couple of mushrooms I had been trying to grow out.
Both looked a bit bleached out and one was sending filaments out of the mouth.
Other shrooms were fine but I figured these were more sensitive for some reason so I moved them to a lower light area and did a big water change and wrote it off as vacay losses.
I checked on them today during some overdue maintenance and it looked like they both split. The more stressed one split into 3-4 and the other into 2.
Is that normal or is this likely the result of trauma?
If trauma is it a thing for mushrooms to split when pissed off? I don't want to torture these things but I would like to propagate over time.
