Oh a routine ? I wasn’t sure if I should post something like that :) . Right now I just added in a bunch of new corals and adjusting my doser ml, and testing sbout 1x a week using water samples from 3 days to figure out my depletion but currently this is what I do:
-On doser: Red Sea 5 ml cal + 11 ml alk per day.
-test calcium and alk 1 x a month
-Magnesium as needed dosed by hand, I test every 2 months and add about 10 ml Red Sea magnesium over the course of 2 days.
-dose by hand Red Sea trace colors a,b,c,d 10 ml each 1x a month
-20 gallon Water change every 2 months using reef crystals
-Clean algae scrubber out every week
-replace dirty filter sock 1 x every 2 weeks
-Replace seachem carbon in the fine mesh media zippered bag in my sump every 2 months
-Clean our skimmer every 2 months .
-spot Feed 1 tsp Benepets 2 x a week
-spot Feed 12 ml Red Sea a+b energy aminos 1x a week
-Feed total 5 cubes frozen food per day (mysis and spirulina) 3 in morning and 2 at night.
-replace 5 stage RO water filters every 6-8 months .
-test alk and calcium 1x a month
I’m VERY LAZY and try to get by with minimal .

Very nice collection!
thank you for sharing.
look forward to hearing about your maintenance routine, And dosing.

That’s awesome, thanks for the detailed break down of your routine. unfortunately, I’m sure you’ve realized by now, this is a never ending hobby, every time you say you’re done, we some how you end up getting more.
Like a good friend of mine once told me “ Ive got a problem Gus, real problem” as I’m staring at his apartment living room and kitchen filled wall to wall with tanks… lol this is one of the best hobbies to be in, and you’ll meet some great people.
you should check out @H&A Aquatics Trevor keeps some really nice Coral, he’s in Rancho Cucamonga.

Hey thank you for the suggestion , I havet heard of this place yet :) but omg I hope I never end up with that baby tabjs as your friend , Wow! I can barely keep up with my low maintenance routine :) it’s so fun talking to others about their tanks . I can’t believe this is the FIRST forum I joined in my 11 years . I read plenty forums, but never pulled the trigger on joining. But the fact that this one is local , is super appealing:)

you’re off to a good start, most people try selling stuff from the go, and it doesn’t work out for them.
just keep posting updates, and asking for or sharing any knowledge. H&A is on here you can send him a PM
