Yes I’m aware there’s a rats nest of wires but this is just dry fitting. I need 2 more MP40’s to complete my flow section on the right. There’s also a EB8 mounted to the opposite for heaters etc.

Ok these things are HUGE. Going to have to do some cut of both the bulkheads and the 1 1/2 piping within the overflow box to get everything to fit.

Along the lines of mounting things. How are you all mounting/supporting plumbing under the stand of the stand is metal? Is it as simple as using self tapping screws and surface mounting clamps or is there more to it?

I pre drilled a 3/4” board with three 1 3/8” holes for the drain line to be secured. I then screwed the board to the 1” plywood that is in between the tank and metal stand.

This is the best pic I have. You can see the three 1” black pvc running through the board.
Then on the return manifold I put another 3/4” plywood the I used pvc pipe clips to hold the pipe in place

Shipment arrive today from BRS. I’m pretty sure I had one of these chloramine monsters in the past but I certainly don’t recall it being this large before. It’s HUGE!

So the plan is to utilize these clips to address needs.

1. Holding the 3/4 return plumbing in place on a short run (about 36 inches or so) to minimize vibration and for a clean even look to the plumbing.

2. Using the 1/2 clip to hold a 1/2 pvc piece with a slot cutout the length of the pipe to hide wiring on the run to the Apex/power board. This will be primarily for the Radions and the 0-10v controller for the Reefbrite XHO-K for dimming, timer etc.

The thought is to use self tapping metal screws and add some silicon to both the threads and the heads to prevent moisture from getting into the metal stand. Would really love to hear everyone’s thoughts on this. Is this a terrible idea to drill the stand?

Drain plumbing ‘done’. Being that the drains are not under pressure is it ok to glue the 1inch of plumbing into the bulkheads?

You’ll see me working on the return lines as well to the left.

3/4 inch return clipped in. I went ahead and drilled the stand and added silicon to the self-tapping screw.

To help with wire management I’ll be adding some 1 inch pvc runs clipped as well. I’ll be cutting a channel about 1/4 to 1/2 in wide to allow for the cords to the lights and MP40’s etc to be ‘hidden’ from sight and not running wildly as they are currently.

Time to setup the RO. Got small hole drilled.

And the pass-through installed. If there are any leaks in the feed or waste lines then the water will end up either on the closet floor or in the bathroom sink cabinet instead of inside of the walls.

Towel on the floor so obviously I had a leak.

Both O-rings are bad on the membrane. While I’m frustrated things could have always been worst.

Damn that's some bad luck right there. I'll check my garage tomorrow if you're looking to make water soon. My unit was a 150 but I knocked it back to a 75, so I may have an extra o-ring.
