jonathan, I think your acan is lacking a bit in color.

do you test for calcium, magnesium and alkalinity?

My acans gained a lot of color once I got these levels up to natural sea water.

The japanese acan piece that you got from arielle should have green stripes within the trim.

my calcium does run a bit low, i shoot for 410, but i've been hanging at 390 lately, still figuring out the load of the new tank. thanks for the info, i'll start paying a little more attention, my lighting isn't quite up to par either i must admit, i have finally gotten up to 6 t5's, from 4, so that should help, my clam and sps are already getting more color from the boost, and i think the acans will follow.

check your magnesium.

if your magnesium isn't near 1300, then you can pour in ten buckets of turbo calcium/kalkwasser and it won't go past 400.

mg is good, 1300-1350. thats what i dose, warner marine mg, and 2 part. i'm just now dosing enough yet, slowly upping my amount till i find the correct amount.
