we have been coloring this piece up for a while now, and i gotta say that i am pretty excited about it. it is my favorite piece in here and ive been watching it color up daily. it barely had a hint of a green rim when it first came in. We are still arguing about what it is though maybe you guys can help us figure it out. Chad got it as a mycedium i believe. at first glance i thought pectinia, but i really dont know, its funky.. Frankie from Real Reef thought it was an echinomorpha, which i am not familiar with. what do you guys think? all i know is ive never seen anything like it (and cant wait to cut some frags)

Looks like a pectin a but I'm not sure about the others. Looks great though

have you guys seen a pectinia with a rim though? cause i havent. but im no expert. its the closest thing i can think of and im hoping it is a pectinia... because if it is, its the coolest pectinia ever.

Looks like a Echinophyllia aspera or Mycedium. My guess is a mycedium. Btw very sweet looking!

Dang I wish there was a way to be sure. Wicked there's no way we can let this colony go ha I almost don't even want to frag it til we figure out what it is either. Just so I can say what it is when it comes time to sell. Hey i heard good things about your fish food though i want to buy some of trade you something for a bag for store use. No idea on $$$ yet either puck but ill let you know. There's already a few people in line for frags when we cut it but ill get you one too

That piece is bad as s I wish I had a frag of it in my tank....... OOO Wait I do,.. Its a mycedium/ which is a chalice!!! I have the same exact one, not as big however mine has nine eyes and got it about a year ago with 1. Its already a named chalice.

i think its a mycedium i have similar one i got while ago u migh of seen it when u came by my office
