My M. Meleagris - Blackspotted Leopard is changing to male!

It's really cool I've had the fish about 8 months. Gaspare had it for about a year. It's head is now completely male coloration but the rest of the body is the female colors! I've read about it online and in books of fish changing sexes and color but it's really cool being able to see it in person!

Very cool, only experience I have is my bartlett anthias changing to male, but not near as cool to watch since the changes are pretty subtle...

I'm thinking I might get two more females when he/she finishes up the process. But I really want another Lineatus or golden rhomboid so I got some thinking to do.

I don't think so, probably about 5-6". Amazing fish, but hard to keep...

Yep. I think the biggest challenge is getting them to eat prepared foods.

Sick i love leopard wrasses but mine always hid in the sand and after not seeing it for a month i see it one day huffing and real skinny on my sand bed, a week later i left it in the refuge and consistent feeding he died.. i would love to get one in the future.

i had one for six months eating everything i put in and one morning it just didnt come out with the rest of the wrasses, after a couple hours of looking for it found it about four feet away from tank where i keep my test kits... looks like i need a lid on my cube now

My pair is separated because of a stupid purple tang ..
When I get back I will have at least 30 leopard and fairy wrasse
They are very beautiful fish second on my list after angels
Dayum jeff ( endlesssummer) hook me up with his evil Solon fairy wrasse
