from this angle it doesn't look like aptasia to me. i get it every time i buy from a certain pet store, and that doesn't look like the stuff i get. but mine are usually bigger, so not much experience with the little guys.

If the fronds look fuzzy its probably some kinda GSP. If you see any kinda "matting" then Id practically guarantee GSP, but on stray polyps there may be none. If you can make out some type of small oral disk (which it doesnt look like) then maybe you could say aiptasia, but if you touch them they will dissapear into the rock, an easy enough test

I have some vry small ones (aiptaisa) and they do indeed look similar but I beleive mine have an obv. plateau or disk at the base of the tentacles. Anyways toch/ disturb them, if they retract then it's a very good chance it is a pest anemone (not nec aptasia though) maybe mahano or somethin else

they appear to have 8 little arms on each polyp. When I touch them, the top will clench up, but the stalks stay put.

dont rip em. they spread like wild fire and have a very powerful sting (to corals). If they are all over ur tank you really have no option but to pick up a fish that might eat them for you, I'm sure steve can recommend something.

in less severe situations use joe's juice or kalk paste to kill em, but dont poke or try to pull, that will just spread them
thank sand where can i find this joe's juice?
