Natural Tank?

Anyone ever done a natural tank with livestock from the SoCal area?

Thought this might be an interesting idea to try out.

all I have ever seen in our water is colorful anemones and overgrown starfish, and most seem pretty well proctected. what else do we have in our waters?

Ive seen seen some cool nudies shore diving in SD. Also bright orange kelp crabs

Garibaldi...
I've seen them for sale in a LFS.
Isn't it illegal though?

Yea if you see a garibaldi in a LFS report them, they are protected.

Friend of mine has a 500g horn shark tank which is cool but he has 2 chillers keeping the water temp down that run 24/7.

The main problem you would have is the temps, you will need a chiller to run 24/7.
