I never have wrasses, but they hide most of the time. May sometimes see them at night. I got one for my previous tank and it became a few after a few weeks eating the aiptasia. But, once the aiptasia is gone, they disappeared or died off unless you pass them along to the next person who need it.

I think it’d be better to get berghia nudibranchs if you have an aiptasia problem because they have the ability to go into rocks and small cracks that a filefish wouldn’t be able to

Yes that’s what I’m afraid of. My wrasses are pigs and some small nudibramch my just become an expensive snack. Just got a small Captive Bred file fish from “bigpaul”.

Acreichthys tomentosus

I’ll see how it goes.

I put him in my quarantine tank and I’m putting some of the loose rocks with Aiptasia and he is cleaning house. Call it a training process before I let him loose in the display. Also it’s being trained to eat my own prepared frozen food and so far he loves it, to make it strong and healthy since he will have to deal with 8 crazy tangs. So far he gets a B+ on Aiptasia removal

Thanks again. “” Bigpaul””. For getting the filefish for us.
