Whats on my snowflake clown???

Need help ASAP! The clown has been hugging the sand all morning. I haven't seen it swim up. It has this white slime with dots all over him. I think it might be some fungal on him or maybe its red bugs. I don't know what to do. I got him at fish store and they wont take him back or give me my money back. I only had him for 2 days. i went back at they tried selling another fish tank plus all these medicine and filter and test kits and then told me he might survive. This might sound like a dumb question but can I take him out of the water and clean him with a rag or toothbrush and dip him. Does it filmy white stuff just come off? I think the white stuff is blocking his lungs causing him to stay at the bottom.

All help is needed? :'(

Not familiar with that area, but that sucks they aren't taking the blame.
i should've read the yelp reviews. I'm not the only victim. Like the asian fish store owner said they cant guarantee any of the fish because too many fish come in and out of the store. Which make sense but dang it cost 79.99. Not a good way jumping from fresh to saltwater tank.

Stores shouldn't have to take blame.

If its a new tank, and there is already ich or brook in an un mature system, that's not their fault.

You need to setup a QT tank.

I dont think I understand. This is a new tank I waited 2 month before putting a fish in. Past the nitro cycle and test water was good. The store checked my water and said it was ready for fish. The clown was the first fish.

Clownfish shouldn't come with brook unless is wild caught. THEN yeah you can't blame them. But tank raised shouldn't have brook, they are never exposed. So they should take the blame if they mix tank raised with wild caught. Besides its reef lounge so yeah we can blame them lol

Fish should be quarantined. Read up on Quarantine and Acclimation.

Don't get me wrong, we've all been there. I rarely QT but it sounds like you are new and this is part of the learning curve with keeping saltwater.
