Ok so this is my problem...

Can anyone help me I.D. and how to get rid of it?!?!?!! :bawling:

Ok so i thought direct flow of it would just blow it away, and it did for a second and its been like two days and still no change... Can someone help me before this problem spreads out of control? thanks...

Cyanobacteria, they feed off of nitrates and phosphates
Make sure your not over feeding, do water changes, you may need more flow if you have dead spots where food ect. can sit and rot.

Do weekly 10% WC and try to figure out where is coming from. Are you using RO water?
Hmm i'll do a water change tomorrow... And i'm using a Local Drinking Water Shops water... They say their water is being runned through an RO unit...

you could always use red slime remover...
Will red slime romver hurt my coral? and how much does it run for?

The red slime does work from what I hear, but it kills all the bacteria and not just the cryno. the light out helps as your cutting off part of the food source. But your going to need to figure out why your getting it otherwise it's going to come back.

Cyanobacteria is nitrate limited. Phosphates really do not contribute to their growth, though they will help once an outbreak occurs. Nitrates are typically high if you over feed or if something dies. Best way to curb nitrates is to make sure you have enough LR for the tank, enough flow with few dead spots, and do water changes with good clean water. If you use makeup water it could be the culprit as well. make sure the water you put in the tank has no nitrates in it.

I'm using Scripps water with Drinking water from a Local Water shop. Okay i just adjusted the flow in my tank, and it looks like flow is hitting all areas of the tank. I'll do a water change tomorrow and see what happens in the days to come....

It is pretty nice sitting smack dab in the heart of the good spots. I had a red slime algae problem and the remover worked great for me, it didnt kill off anything that it wasnt supposed to.
