When you go to a thread that got many pages, is there a way to jump to the last page or latest post?
I’ve found this feature on other forums to be very useful. Otherwise, I would have to scroll all the way down, change the page and go.

Whet would it take to enable these navigation shortcuts on SCR?
Thanks

Only Mike @EyeReef can make changes to the forum. I've asked a few times if admins can do it, but haven't gotten a response to getting it done.

Btw: sometimes the buttons don’t even show up! See below.

Anyway - no big deal if it’s just me…

It’s okay - thanks for trying. Like I said - SCR operates like an absentee landlord. The mods do not invest in the forum enough to make a difference.

It’s been nice knowing you guys — I’m out!

The problem is that we are also not collecting rent. The forum runs negative every month.

Mike is opening another new optometry place, so he's been super busy with real life. I'm just not sure if that is going to be the direction for him forever, or he plans to come back at some point. So, I'm not sure. All I can is make the best of it. One of these days, I'll have to chat with him to see what he wants to do. I wish he would give me all of the privileges and I can make real changes, but he may not want to do that.

That’s unfortunate since I love(d?) this forum and would like it to succeed. I think that SCR is a great forum to connect and share your reefing experiences with local hobbyists. My point isn’t about cosmetic/functionality of the site - it’s just a few extra clicks, who cares. It’s the fact that we don’t innovate and share fresh ideas! For example, we have many experts but I don’t see published articles that we all can learn. Why? Cause I suspect that they are not motivated. Bottom line: SCR seems more like a FB Marketplace without censorship. Otherwise, it feels pretty dead. Sorry, just my 2c.

Financials: nobody wants to operate in the red - thanks, Mike for supporting us! I think that most of us don’t mind to help support the site. Perhaps start a yearly fundraising event to help fund? Or ask frequent sellers to chip in a frag/two to help pay the bills? Ideas welcomed…

Jimbo: thanks to you & the team - the bots & scammers have almost completely disappeared! Although amusing, it was somewhat annoying at times. Keep up the great work!

I'm not sure what you mean by innovating by publishing articles. Most of the science behind reefing is already out there. If someone has a question by all means ask and we'll jump in to support without the sarcastic "just google it" response you might get from other forums. I like SCR. It's a close knit community that shares experiences. Most of us have met face to face so it makes it even more meaningful. Also, most of us have jobs and families and other obligations so engagement is less about motivation and probably more about availability. Fundraiser? great idea...i think you just volunteered yourself to start the first one ;)

Kudos to the administrative team for keeping us afloat!

+1 on the community - I’ve made a lot of cool friends here.

Fundraiser: I’ll defer to the mods here but either use Gofundme, reefers donate gear/livestock for silent auctions, whatever — all proceeds will go toward operating & enhancing SCR.
