Recently sold all my lps. went a different route for my 10 gallon water box build.
I’ll provide a picture.
need some advise/tips and pointers for a all nem tank.
Questions I have are
Lighting?
Flow?
Do I direct feed?
Salinity?
ca/mg/ak;Should I worry dosing or would water changes be ok only ??
Ph and nitrates?
Or any advise I’m still pretty new to the hobby I’ve had a nem for almost a year but I wanna know everyone’s experience.
Also is there anything I do to help the nems color pop More ???
Thank you in advance look forward hearing from everyone.

My Tank Build
#2
Back in 2011/2012 I did a 180gallon that started off all nems. But I quickly found that an all nem tank can be a little boring. Well it was for me, maybe cause it was a 180 and had a lot of rock to cover so I did add a few softies and sps. I did find that nems will have chemical war fare just like corals did. I had a carpet that killed multiple bta. But by fare my fav nem was and still is a ritteri nem. My ritteri was close to 18” across when I took down the tank.
But on to your questions.
From what I remember is that with all nem tank your not going to go through calcium like you would with corals. Nems don’t use calcium as much if any to build there structure. For most parameters normal levels will do. You will most likely go through magnesium like normal.
I ran 3 gen1 radions at 100% and 2 mp60 in my 180 and didn’t have any issues. Most nems love light and flow cause they are usually found in tide pool or high point of the reef. I did spot feed my nem about twice a week. I feed anything that was meaty that was from the ocean. Krill, silver side, I also would cut up the parts of fish we caught that we wouldn’t eat after going deep sea fishing.
