Neptune ph probe

My ph probe went bad again (second one in a little over a year). I was just going to buy another replacement but since everyone is out of stock I just thought I ask, does anyone use other brand or better quality ph probe compatible with trident?

I know BRS sells their own double junction ph probe that is much cheaper than neptune and in this hobby, most but not all cheaper usually means crappier! I wonder if this is the case on BRS ph probe?

All fine only difference is if you go lab grade/double junction

Quality of the probe does impact the price
I have some probes that I got for chemical analysis and I been using them on my tank for years with no problems yes they are 3-5 more than regular ones but when you have fish,corals and equipment that relive on a PH proble I think is worth the investment

I bought a BRS lab grade double junction at $65 as a backup for my 2019 Neptune probe lol but haven’t swapped it in yet. The Neptune probe is only $25 more expensive though so I can’t see there being a huge difference in performance, both are lab grade double junction. If you went the $35 single junction BRS route then likely yeah but $30 is nothing in this hobby as others have mentioned.

How often are you guys typically changing out your probes? When they go bad is it pretty obvious ?

I haven't changed mine in 4+ years. Usually just calibrate if things seem off.

Use the same prob for many years. CLean it out with vinegear from time to time.
