I had one many, many years ago and it was about 3"+. At the time smaller examples of this fish sold for more than larger ones. Beautiful specimen, I can't really tell what size your fish is though.

I also had one a few years back 3” he was also really aggressive towards other fish but really beautiful looking fish

One of my favorite fish, they do get big I’ve seen them at least 5 inches and fat, I hear they can even hit around 6 inches. Mine is at least 3 inches but he’s growing quickly, definitely a predator he will eat anything that fits in his mouth. I have seen him swallow shrimp whole, so I’m wondering if he will start going after small fish when he gets even bigger.

This dude already eats anything that gets near him. Hopefully he doesn't find my eviota gobies to be tasty

brs has them in their tank that's always behind them in videos and they've been in there for several years


they should eventually get to 5-6", definitely on the large side for hobby anthias. i've never kept one, but afaik they're kinda more like a sunburst anthias than the pseudanthias we more commonly keep. more stationary, does better on their own rather than a harem, hangs under overhangs etc
