Ok I should have know that an 80 gallon tank was going to be to small for me, but I thought it wood Last at least a year or two.
Oh well here we are after 10 months, I grabbed a 120g 48”x24”x24” SCAquariums tank that has been modified by the manufacturer by closing up and removing the center overflow and adding a synergy overflow to the back, love this design.
Because of the modification there were no return holes in the tank so I went with a old school sea swirl.
Took my time on the rock work

Here she is all cleaned up

I got this Sump but had to DIY it so my Red Sea Rollermat would fit on one side and cut a square hole on the other side to make use of that extra compartment for my Ecotech M2 Return pump, that would allow me to add my Rain 4 Algae Scrubber. Worked out great

Personally felt 80-110 gallon was a great size. Kept costs down while being large enough to house just about any fish. SeaSwirl, great product used along with another stationary pump to create a very random flow. Also a big fan of the SCWD. Like hoods as well to keep light contained in the tank and not flooding the room with light.
A inexpensive BM NAC-7 or 9 or a lone mature algae scrubber and done.
