It’ll be 24”. Scape it sitting at right around 14” tall.

They are and they were built by Planet aquariums.

That's crazy they "lost" your original tank you ordered, maybe they broke it and somehow was never found after that.

Yeah, that’s what Planet was thinking too.

I love the flat rock look. One of my favorite ways to snap a tank. you mention SPS dominated tank. Having high par levels is important with that. I am not sure what the height of the new tank is going to be but I would try to make sure you have enough par 400 and above (let's just say) on the middle section. the top part should be able to cook corals the lower one goes the par will drop and If I did mine over again I would get most of my rocks all 5 to 7 inches higher to the top of the water line.

Thanks! Yeah I think I’m going to stick with the design I came up with. Once the corals fill everything in I think it’ll look good. Should have plenty of light to pack a lot of par for anything I might need.

Actually just received the main tank yesterday! Movers coming tomorrow to help me lift it into place.

Sorry, probably posting a little too much on this new build.

Just wanted to keep the thread updated with the first pics with the tank filled, connected and running. Going to move about a 100lbs of live rock over the weekend to have temporarily in the tank to seed the main tank over the next 3-6 months.

Please do keep the posts coming! Always good to have an active build thread, and this one is very inspiring. I like your scape - I think the asymmetry will look great when the corals start to grow out.

Could you please explain how you built the light rack over your main display. Is that an Auxlift attic unit for raising and lowering? What material did you use to build the rack itself? Any pictures of the rack and lights prior to wrapping it in wood? Awesome set up!!

Man, I wish I knew about the Auxlift setup because I would have used that.

The hood is just hanging on cables and has to be manually lifted and lowered.

It is just built with 3/4” rift oak and the top is removable in case I ever need to remove or add anything inside.
