Starting this open discussion to see what others do when mixing salt. After 8 years I have finally started mixing my own water. I know the basics if mixing but like anything in this hobby personal experiences are better than manufacturers guidelines.
I'm using Tropic Marin Pro Salt.
I'm just wondering how long others mix for before they test Salinity and Alk and why?

Thanks

My Tank Build
#3
Yep like Jose said once salt is dissolved and temp is with in a degree or two of tank temp. I usually make water the day b4 I do a water change. I don’t like to sit to long in the barrel. I’ve had calcium buildup on the walls of barrel if I let water sit to long.
