Where do you find nice wood for stand build? Like nice plywood, 2x4's, and hard wood?

My wife owns a hardwood lumber yard in Vernon if that's closer to people. They get any type of hard wood you want. It's called Bohnhoff lumber. 110 yr old legacy of serving southern Californians.

Quick question do they mean feet when they write 4/4 so 4'x4'? Looks like most wood companies use these but can't seem to get an explanation

Check out Bohnhoff like @robert_ellis said. Quality is better than going to HD, plus so many more choices. Also, you can talk to employees that actually know about the wood. Like ease of cutting, what blades to use, and ease of staining. Hardwoods ain't no joke, but the looks can't be beat when done right.

If you know who nick offerman is and how he has a woodshop, he buys from our company. Look at his shirt. He always has them on.

+1 for Bohnhoff Lumber.
Be aware the price for wood is in board feet, not linear inches. Try to have at least a rough drawing so you can create a stock list before you go.
If you watched the video, that is some serious machinery. Lots of horsepower needed to plane hardwoods. Good luck and have fun. Woodworking can be addicting
