Normal torch behavior

Hello I just picked up a torch about a month ago and notice that during the day it will extend out really far. Is this normal torch behavior?

Water Parameters

Ca-400
KH-9
Ammonia-0
Nitrates- 0.25
Phosphates- 0.25

It’s getting happy, also most coral suck in when lights go out.
