Here’s my frag, under all blue and no orange filter

Hard to tell with the potato camera (I jest I jest), but is that tissue necrosis?

Mine's struggling and has almost zero color still. My tank sucks for acros though, so I blame no one but me at this point.

I'm not in the contest but I'm trying to follow along and enjoy so can we get back to that and stop with the beating of a dead horse already. Seriously come on no folks.

I’m trying to now get down to the truth.
Personally I think you're making it worse. Form what I've seen both retractions and apologies have been issued with ideas on how to prevent issues in the future so at some point you have to let it go or you begin to look bad. Plus you all are simply detracting from this wonderful contest. Let's learn, live and let live, and move on already.....IMHO

So emac was fooled there? Or loa who has a stellar rep gave brown/tan corals?
I could give a rats ass what their rep is. Corals didn’t brown out In the 20 min ride to his house. Knock it off.
More so E went above and beyond having having styrofoam cups and his temp controll holder as to where loa was just going to use bags which there isnt an issue with bags either. At the end of the day Jose stop trying to pass the buck around. Some frags were decent and some not so much. I mean if you want to be technical I guess tan is a color so yea they had color

This is straight up going against what I personally saw and experienced, but ok. Best of luck gentlemen.

So what you’re saying is that the frags that got picked up at Ali’s all had color but the ones picked up from E were tan? Please help me understand this better.

Come on guys- I respect all of you, but please let’s just figure out how to move forward. Honestly it’s not worth it- Jose helped a lot, e helped a lot, Ben helped a lot- these guys didn’t have to help, or plan, or coordinate this- I understand some may not be happy with the frag but how can we all move forward. I don’t want anyone to drop out, and there’s a lot of us that are still here for the contest. Win or loose let’s have some fun. This horse has been beaten… badl- it’s for sure dead already. Let’s just move forward.

no homo: but I love my fellow reefers- let’s try to bring back some sort or enjoyment into this contest.

Honestly- how many corals or fish have people bought that didn’t make it? Let’s be realistic. Corals sometimes aren’t what we exapect, sometimes things don’t go perfect. Sometimes shit happens - but let’s not let this ruin our competition or the fun.

some people went out of their way to coordinate this contest, and I honestly believe everyone involved did this out of the goodness of their hearts and for the enjoyment of everyone participating. No one HAD to do this. Regardless of how anyone feel about the frag, can we chalk it up to a learning experience and all move on together? I respect all of you, just trying to reel this back a bit.

And please no one should drop out. but let’s please stop the banter. We all love this hobby, and if your in this hobby you know shit can go sideways quick. We loose money/corals/fish etc. almost regularly in this hobby. Does one frag Really make a difference in the whole scheme of things? Is it worth it to keep this going? Personally I think not.

so happy reefing my friends and I hope we can ALL take a breather and do our bests to grow this frag.

Honestly I didn’t expect the frag to be like the pic on the website after fragging them. In my personal experience things can lose color after fragging. It will take a little longer than 2 weeks to color it back up. Give it some time and it will get there.

When I was at Amazing Reef and Aquarium I had noticed people coming by picking up the frags and didn’t see anyone with any insulated bag or cooler with them. There are many variables that can happened, so we should all just move forward with the contest.

My “Flavor Parade and Pimped Out” are both a little light in colors. I expect both them to recover from my setup. I’m glad there is a growout contest, because I was getting bored reading all the spams on the forum.

Here is my Flavor Parade under all blues on Radion Blue G5 with Orphek gel filter.

Lets all just swallow our pride and move on… we are adults, it’s getting old seeing the talk about brown vs not…

they were tan with a little tinge of yellow…done.. not a big deal … cut the BS MEN, and move on… obviously no one wanted this , and now It has turned into a ‘who is at fault’ comp instead of a grow out…

I cast a spell and plagued the entire comp so I can win, blame it on me… can we move on now. My gosh! Lol
