Lovely video and photos. How many clowns are in the tank now? Is it a harem or separate pairs? Everyone falling in to order? My female clown in my pair of over a year together just killed the male in under 24 hrs. Traumatic event in the house for sure , but I've put in a new order for one more to replace and am anxious to see how it goes :(

There’s 3 clowns right now. There was 4 but 1 wasn’t in the best shape when I bought it. Took a chance on it. 2 clowns always challenge each other and the third stays away and minds his business.

Back in November I dumped 2 gallons of phyto into the tank. At first there were no issues but then my nutrients bottomed out and I’ve been battling chrysophytes since January. A couple months ago I started making my own nitrate solution to balance my phosphate. Once I did that, slowly but surely, the chrysophytes started to recede.

Here’s where I am now

Also it looks like most of my aptasia is gone

So I just realized that I haven’t been running my skimmer for about a month. I turned it off to clean it, stuff got in the way and I forgot all about it. I don’t run mechanical filtration so I was expecting nutrients to be super high. Tested and my nutrients have bottomed out. The only the only filtration I had for the past month was the phyto I was dosing. With out mechanical filtration and a skimmer, the phyto stayed in the water column and ate up all the nutrients.

I cleaned the skimmer and added nutrients back into the tank. Here’s picks I took this morning

Rebuilt my trident on Saturday and it wouldn’t test CA or MG! It was only testing Alk but it was doing everything it was supposed to with reagent B.

Today I went and got new reagents and voila!

The last box of my 6 month reagent supply went bad.

Corals love OG Phyto. All of them. Even the pests

It’s cool though. I got this guy to see if he can help
