Help me to not set this up and stay out of the hobby. Accumulated this stuff thinking of setting up a system again. 40/38 gallon breeder drilled. Stand, stained kinda blue, sand, quality rock about 70-80 pounds NOT small grapefruit size nor rubble. That’s a size 14 foot next to one of the medium size rocks. Simple sump for skimmer no refugium. Refracto, test kit, simple timer bar and Jebao DC 4000 return. $200, firm on price.
Never have been able to post pictures right side up.

“You all ain’t tryin to convince me to set it up are ya”

I mean you went through all the trouble in obtaining all that nice equipment… it really would be a shame to sell it.. I wonder what it would look like with just a few pieces of GSP and a clown fish in it…. Doesn’t seem like too much to do a few water changes a month on a 40g. Even got the beach sandals on for the spirit of reefing in one of your photos.

You know what I agree with you, you should definitely take down this post and set it up.

Well. I did a flow test to see what level the pump needs to be and the valve for the overflow to make everything a whisper. All I hear is the faint drone of the pump. Plumbing is water tight and I like the levels in the sump. Had a hard time dialing in the overflow valve with the pump wide open(10) for some reason. Made about six standpipes and just couldn’t do it. Used water from our whole house filter and everything is at zero, PH 7.2. So I’ll use it. Expect salt mix to raise PH along with rock and sand. Need more sand for my liking. It’ll be a while before life. First will be copepods.

Mods, I guess you can close this “for sale thread”.
