How do I get rid of them?
There are several method anywhere from peppermint, copperband, aiptasia x. Might wanna do some research on those. Most are hit or miss. For me, file fish, peppermints, and aiptasia wand are working for me right now...

remove it as fast as you can or it will spread everywhere. FYI, dont try to cut it off or smash it in the tank.

I just found my first aiptasia on a frag this weekend. It was like a rite of passage. Tiny, cute little guy, right up to when I scraped him off and blowtorched the rock. :)

I like what Coelli said.....blowtorch the rock! But yes....aiptasia are a pain in the buttocks! It's hard to tell from the pic but if its an easy rock to pull out. Pull it out and let it sit in the sun for a few days. No harm in killing any bacteria since the tank is still in its cycle mode. Once cycled as others have said add a couple peppermint shrimp as a precaution to any aiptasia you may not see.
