IMO - all reefers should have a contingency plan. All my tanks can run without street power for 40+ hours, except heating. The UPS can run the heater but will drain in 6hrs. I need to get some side panels and lids made though.
If the room temp drops too much, you can try wrap your tank with some foam or insulation to minimize heat loss, you can get them fairly cheap at Home Depot.
My son helped me build this to power the whole fish room, DIY with Amazon/Eco-Worthy parts. We still need to hook up solar panels but we got UPS protection for now.
If you have Ecotech Vortechs, there is a very affordable way (sub $150) to get circulations going, also using Eco-Worthy batteries. I bought 3 of these already for other smaller tanks.
A jackery 300 powers an mp10 for close to 12 hours. I went the UPS route initially was good 6-8hrs for mp10 but after few years battery life deteriorated drastically.
i think lithium batteries hold up longer overtime.
I purchased a Jackery 1000 for low 300 range. The amount of money that I have spent on Batteries, Tunze Safety Connectors that seem to fail, I got a bunch of battery air pumps about 6 of them and the Jacekery and a 2000 Watt inverter generator.

It was a sceduled maintenance that I am supposed to be notified prior but was not.
