Pump recommendation for mixing salt

What would you recommend someone to use for mixing salt in a 20 gallon brute, would you lean towards power head or return pump? What GPH would you recommend? Thanks.

I personally use a return pump. I like the sicces they work great

I have the Sicce Ultra Zero utility pump. Doubles as a pump to fill my tank with water changes. It's a noisy pump though. But nice feature that you can screw the python water change tubing right onto it.

The key to mixing salt is very strong water movement, so a return style pump will do the job nicely. I just use a lifeguard aquatics pump. I think I bought mine from Marine Depot when they had a sale.

I use a 20gallon bin with two MJ1200

+1 for the sicce utility pump. I use this for mixing my salt and for the water changes.

I have a 30’ hose I use to pump the water from my garage to my tank. I just use the crappy transfer pump to mix the salt.

If i was going to buy a mixing pump for that single purpose, I’d probably get a cheep propeller pump.

I use a very old flow pump. One of the earliest sold, but it keeps going many years later.

Thanks for the feedback everyone! I was using an Eheim return pump for the longest time and thought maybe it would be a good idea to start using powerhead to reduce my long term electricity consumption. After trying a few different powerheads, the most powerful one being 2500 GPH, I realized that the flow is not as strong as the return pump I was using (255 - 555 GPH) so I thought maybe I need to get another, much stronger, powerhead. I just wanted to see what others were doing. Thanks again!
