QT tank question

Are decorations and little caves really necessary to be out in a QT tank? Can I just have a QT tank with no decorations or siding places?

Fish are less stressed when they have a place to hide. A few pieces of PVC would suffice.

Buy a ceramic flowerpot if you don't want to waste the money on the decorations.

What size pvc pipe do I use for it to stay on the bottom of the tank because I used some pvc pipe but it would float.

put a weight in the pvc. I used a smooth rock

I usually get 4"-5" inch PVC fittings at home depot. They are only about $4 each.
