before all the medications/treatments, I think the two most important aspects of quarantining would be to maintain clean water and get the inhabitants eating first (without meds/binders)

I did make sure they were eating before I put the meds. I tried to preconditioned them before actually started quarantine. They were in there for 5 days without any meds. I only treated once I noticed symptoms.

Mostly just hiding, the fish sometimes will eat if I put the pippette right where it is hiding and where it is facing.

sounds pretty normal, do you have some flow in the tank where you can add some food and walk away? They'll eventually learn that seeing you means a chance for food

The fish is kind of skitish whenever I get near the tank it hides. It only comes out when I am not near the tank.

Does anyone know where to get Quick Cure? I found my allens damsel dead this morning. I am seeing slightly red sores on its body. Which makes me think it had uronema. When it was alive I never saw amy red marks on its body.

Just a disclaimer that picture was taken hours after I found it dead. So I am not sure if thaf would make a difference. I woke up at like 3 am-5 am and found it at the bottom of the tank dead in a pvc hide. I don't remebering seeing any red marks when I just pulled it out of the tank.

It's hard to say if it's uronema or not, but it works fast and fish usually don't survive unless treated asap.

I have been feeding metroplex/focus to the melanarus wrasse since the 2nd of this month. So also the wrasse is still eating and don't see any red marks on it. I could dose the tank directly with metroplex to start external treatment asap(I am not going to bother asking about formalin since we live in California.)

How do you guys sterilze your equipment? I was thinking either vinegar or bleach. My qt is acrylic so might not be able to use bleach.

Vinegar works well, then completely dry before reuse. I don’t use bleach because I can never get the smell out enough to stop worrying about it. Vinegar is safer, in my opinion. The completely drying out is probably equally effective.
