I've had this coral for about 6 weeks. It seems to me that it had more color when I got it and has been losing color over the entire time I've had it. It has it's filimants out every morning and sometimes throughout the day. It seems to be very happy, if coral can have emoitions.

I'm not entirely sure what I am doing wrong. I've included my tank parameters below. I've also added a pic of the Seneye reading from next to the coral.

Temp NH NO2 NO3 PO3 Ca KH Mg Salinity I2 K Fe PH Date
77.65* 0* 0* 0* 0* 375* 7.3* 1360* 1.026* 8.2* 2018-10-24*

I did have a bit of a KH drop to the 6 level. I brought it back up with some soda ash doseing.

I've been testing the Ca with my API and getting a 400 to 420 as of several days ago and today with the Red Sea test kit the 375, so I suppose I need to do a little Ca dosing. I have Bright Well Kalk +2, so I will do a slow drip dose of a bit of that. I'll also dose Red Sea ABCD after the Ca comes up to 420 range.

I'm looking for thoughts?

Id say try and be more consistent with your testing and dosing. Otherwise just give it time. Corals will change in your tank. Everyones tank is different.

I agree with Jose. Also corals can lose some coloration from 0 nitrates. You can try adding amino acids to your regimen or Korallen-Zucht Pohls Xtra special which helps with faded color corals.
