Question about MP40 wetside longevity

So I'm thinking about getting a few extra MP40 wetside so that I can swap them out and clean them.

Is it a good idea to buy new or slightly used? Are they prone to break? Would like feedback for those that have used these for a long time. New is about $90, so not crazy expensive.

And if you have some slightly used MP40 wetside, I might be interested in buying if it is not crazy far from me or can ship.

I haven't had issues with mp40 wetsides as long as you don't clean them with vinegar. My wetsides are 5 plus years old. I did have issues with the shafts on my mp10s chipping but I was able to replace them directly from Ecotech.

Citric acid for me.

I just use tap water and a scrub brush once a month. The key is to keep extra cages or buy the limpet guards and put them in citric acid and use the standard guards while you clean the limpets. They should last as long as you keep things from scratching the magnets like sand, chitons, limpets, etc.

At least with my recent experiences with EcoTech they have been really good about really good about customer service. Some things I just send a picture in the chat box and they have my info on file.
And yes switching out wetsides, so much easier.

Yup - Bryan got me going with Citric Acid, easier on plastics and doesn’t smell vs vinegar.
